"I solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States," Trump declared, taking the oath on the Bible alongside Chief Justice John Roberts.
During these official ceremonies, White House staff were busy moving the Trump family in, unloading their furniture and belongings.
Internet users also noticed an important change. The appearance of the White House's official website changed.
Visitors to www.whitehouse.gov can now see a video featuring, among other things, a symbolic flight of an eagle.
