Iran threatens 'crushing response' to Israeli strikes
Disturbing reports are coming from Iran. The country's highest political and spiritual leader, Ali Khamenei, has threatened Israel and the USA, announcing a "crushing response" to Israeli attacks.

"Enemies, whether it's the Zionist regime or the United States, will certainly receive a crushing response for what they are doing to Iran and the Iranian nation, as well as the resistance front," Khamenei said in a video released by Iranian state media.
The politician did not specify the timing or scope of the potential attack.
Khamenei's words are a pledge of a response to the Israeli retaliation carried out on October 26 against military targets in Iran. Even at that time, the authorities in Tehran issued a statement assuring their readiness to retaliate. "Iran is prepared to respond to aggression from Israel and it will be met with a proportional reaction," reported the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim last Saturday, referring to Israel's retaliatory strike.
Israeli intelligence findings
On Thursday, the Axios portal, citing Israeli intelligence sources, reported findings about a planned Iranian attack on Israel.
The attack is expected to be carried out within the next few days, likely from Iraqi territory.
The Axios portal notes that Iran may use pro-Iranian militias operating in Iraq, which would allow it to avoid a direct Israeli response on its own territory. Such a strategy would aim to reduce the risk of further Israeli airstrikes on strategic targets in Iran. According to intelligence, a large number of drones and ballistic missiles are expected to be used during the attack.
