The bomb, constructed by the 37-year-old and his 25-year-old wife, was used in an attack carried out in Dnipro on December 14, 2024. One person was killed, and four were injured.

The couple, acting on the orders of Russian services, hid the device in a designated location and then observed its pickup by the perpetrator of the attack.

After the attack, the couple moved to another apartment, attempting to cover their tracks. They were detained at their new address, where evidence of their contacts with Russian services was found, including instructions on producing explosives.
