Since January 7, firefighters in Los Angeles have been battling massive fires engulfing several neighbourhoods of the city, particularly in Pacific Palisades. As a result of the raging fires, many have lost their homes, including Anthony Hopkins, Paris Hilton, Adam Brody, and Anna Faris—we showed the remains of her home in a previous article. The scale of destruction is not yet fully assessed, as the fire is still raging. The media is filled with reports of other celebrities who no longer have their homes, like John Goodman, an actor from the film "Big Lebowski."

The fires in Pacific Palisades completely destroyed the white house of the actor in Los Angeles. Photos show that nothing remains of the residence. Not even the pool in the garden is intact. Goodman bought this property in 2008 for 4.6 million dollars. Below, you can see the scope of destruction and how the house looked just before the fire outbreak in the area.

Fires destroying celebrities' homes

According to the Daily Mail, it is unknown whether Goodman was recently living in this residence, as he mainly lives in New Orleans with his wife, Anna Beth. Other stars, such as Adam Brody, Leighton Meester, and Anna Faris, also lost their homes due to the fires. They undoubtedly lived in these properties with their families.

The fire is engulfing more areas, as seen in the recordings published by stars from Los Angeles. The fire threatens homes and important community places, such as the Getty Villa, a historical museum in Malibu. This place is known for its collection of ancient art and beautiful gardens. Many events had to be cancelled, including film premieres of "Unstoppable" with Jennifer Lopez and "Better Man" by Robbie Williams. The announcement of the SAG Awards nominations took place online, while the announcement of the Oscar nominations was postponed by a few days.

Many celebrities, including Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks, and Mandy Moore, had to evacuate their luxurious properties. The fires have already burned almost 3,000 hectares and destroyed dozens of homes, threatening the entire city of Los Angeles.
