Inside the tumultuous life of 'Catwoman' Jocelyne Wildenstein
On New Year's Day, media outlets reported that "Catwoman" had died at the age of 84. Shortly before her death, Jocelyne Wildenstein posted a photo on Instagram to celebrate her daughter's birthday. At that time, the celebrity looked quite different.
Jocelyne Wildenstein passed away at the age of 84 in Paris due to a pulmonary embolism. "Catwoman" gained fame for her extensive plastic surgeries, earning her nickname because of her wish to resemble her favourite animals.
In 2023, during an interview with "The Sunday Times," the Swiss-born celebrity discussed her challenging divorce. Her ex-husband, Alec Wildenstein, had been unfaithful, and during the trial, he attributed the breakdown of their relationship to "Catwoman's" numerous plastic surgeries.
Their divorce was finalized in 1999, after two decades of marriage. It was one of the most talked-about splits, partly because of the substantial financial settlement "Catwoman" was expected to receive. The millionaire was supposed to pay $100 million annually and make a one-time payment of $2.5 billion.
During her later years, "Catwoman" spent her time with Lloyd Klein, who was 28 years younger than her.
This is how "Catwoman" looked before her plastic surgeries
A few months before her death, Jocelyne Wildenstein shared an archival photo on Instagram with her daughter, showing a time before she became known for plastic surgeries. "Catwoman" appeared drastically different from her more recent look.
Until recently, Wildenstein insisted she had not undergone plastic surgeries, claiming her appearance was due to Swiss genetics. Later, she admitted to having some procedures, but not as many as the media reported. Reportedly, all the procedures she had undergone cost an estimated $5.4 million CAD.
