why does the pan get scorched at the bottom?
The bottom of the pan is particularly susceptible to grease build-up. Sometimes, we place the pan on dirty grills or stoves, causing its surface to become grimy. Additionally, when we prepare a dish, the contents can spill over, affecting the sides and bottom. High heat from flames or induction cooktops can also damage the pan's exterior.
Accumulated grime looks unsightly and affects the pan's condition, making it less durable and more likely to cause food to burn. That's why it's important to pay attention to "dripping" dirt and the condition of our stove. If dirt accumulates, the pan should be washed in warm water with dish soap as soon as it cools down.
A homemade solution for stubborn dirt
Cleaning a pan isn't one of the most enjoyable tasks. It’s usually time-consuming, and the results can often be unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, dish soap alone may not be effective enough. That's why it's worth trying a proven method.
1. Sprinkle table salt over the bottom of the pan, ensuring the entire surface is covered.
2. Pour dish soap onto the same area.
3. Generously cover everything with baking soda.
4. Place several sheets of paper towels over the surface.
5. Pour white vinegar over it to soak the paper towels.
6. Wait 30 minutes.
7. After this time, you can easily wipe everything off with a paper towel, leaving no trace of the grease.
