Handshake politic: Rivals unite at 9/11 anniversary ceremony

Two candidates who fiercely fought for supremacy during Tuesday night's presidential debate have met again and stood before the cameras. This time, they were in a larger group. At the ceremonies commemorating the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 attack in New York, the opponents stood shoulder to shoulder.
American politicians attending the ceremony to honour the victims of the World Trade Center stood in a united row. President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump, Senator JD Vance, and former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg greeted each other with friendly handshakes.
Particularly notable is the handshake between Harris and Trump. On Tuesday, the current Vice President and former President fought against each other in a pre-election debate.

Millions of Americans watched this clash. According to commentators and polls, the scale of victory clearly tipped towards the candidate.
In the National Constitutional Center in Philadelphia at 9:00 PM (3:00 AM in Poland on Wednesday), there was a spectacular victory for the politician.
Harris was relaxed, cheerful, laid-back, and very effective, and on top of that, she looked directly into the camera, as if speaking directly to the voters. Trump avoided eye contact with Harris and got carried away. Even Fox News, a media outlet favouring him, had to report that according to poll panel research, Harris had the advantage.
The welcoming handshake during the anniversary of the World Trade Center attack does not necessarily mean that Donald Trump appreciated his opponent. At the end of Tuesday's debate, such a significant gesture between the adversaries did not occur. It is more likely a demonstration from all sides of the seriousness with which Americans approach the memory of the Two Towers tragedy and the death of 3,000 compatriots.
