Chinese hackers breach the phones of Trump and Vance

Trump's team was informed this week that he and Vance were among the individuals whose devices were attacked by infiltrating the Verizon mobile network operator system, the "NYT" reported. The daily noted that some of the attacked devices belonged to people in U.S. President Joe Biden's administration.
Earlier this year, U.S. services identified a hacker group linked to China called Salt Typhoon, which operated inside domestic mobile network systems. However, investigators have only now discovered that specific phone numbers were targeted, the newspaper described.
Reports of Chinese infiltration raise many concerns due to the presidential election, which will take place on November 5. During this campaign, the camp of former President Trump was already targeted by Iranian hackers, who tried to gain access to the content of Republicans' computers by sending fake emails.
