Preparing edible chestnuts is not difficult. How do you make roasted chestnuts? The recipe is extremely simple. To enjoy their unique flavour, start by scoring each chestnut's skin. This allows steam to escape during roasting and prevents bursting.

After scoring, it is best to place the chestnuts in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes, making them easier to peel later. How do you roast edible chestnuts? They should be spread on a baking sheet and roasted at a temperature of 390°F for about 15-20 minutes, until the skin becomes brown and crispy. After cooling briefly, they can be easily peeled and served warm.

They can also be served boiled. How do you boil edible chestnuts? As with roasting, you must first score the skin. Then they should be boiled for about half an hour. Thanks to the pre-scoring, peeling them will be easier. After boiling, the cooled chestnuts should be peeled. They can be served as a delicious, healthy snack or added to meals.
