How can you make this dish support our body even more? Adding turmeric to the chicken soup enriches this dish with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, thanks to the curcumin it contains, which acts as a powerful antioxidant. Turmeric supports liver function and aids the digestive system, making it an excellent addition to the daily diet.
Ginger is another subtle ingredient that can boost the health benefits of chicken soup. Its unique anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties make it an ideal addition for fighting colds and infections. It has a warming effect, which is particularly desirable on cooler days. Moreover, ginger contains compounds that support digestion, warm the body, and alleviate pain symptoms.
Recipe for chicken soup with turmeric and ginger
How can you make chicken soup with turmeric and ginger? Anna Trzyna shared this on her Instagram profile. The user prepared the broth from two types of meat: chicken drumsticks and beef shin, root vegetables (three carrots, a portion of celery, two parsnips, a portion of leek, and a previously charred onion), as well as four cloves of garlic and a few allspice berries and bay leaves. She simmered the broth over low heat for about 6 hours. Half an hour before finishing cooking, she added a grated piece of ginger and turmeric.
Trzyna suggests serving the broth in mugs and drinking it as a warming beverage with the addition of chilli flakes and parsley.
