Zelensky leaves White House empty-handed after clash with Trump

It was not a pleasant meeting. During the Zelensky-Trump conversation, observed by journalists, there was a heated exchange. The planned signing of the agreement did not occur, and the President of Ukraine departed from the White House alone. He referred to these turbulent events in a brief statement.

The purpose of Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the United States was to sign a minerals agreement, but this was not realized. Instead, a dispute unfolded in the White House. Donald Trump made ungracious remarks about the Ukrainian President, ultimately emphasizing that "he is not ready for peace."

Zelensky, despite being criticized by Trump and J.D. Vance in front of the cameras, defended Ukraine's interests. Ultimately, he left the White House earlier than planned, without a farewell at the exit by the U.S. President.

Following these events, he posted a note online, devoid of negative emotions.

"We are working exactly for that"

"Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that," wrote the President of Ukraine.
