Grease, dirt, food scraps, hair, or cosmetics are just a few of the products that end up in drains. They require regular cleaning. If we forget about it, over time, it can lead to a serious clog. It turns out that you don't need to call a plumber or use a popular pipe cleaner to unclog the drain. Just reach for one pharmacy product that you most likely already have in your home.

How to unclog a drain without a cleaner?

In such situations, most of us reach for a pipe cleaner. The product is highly effective, but it is not without flaws. It is based on very strong chemical substances, which can severely burn the skin upon contact.

You can replace a pipe cleaner with natural products that most of us have at home. One of them is baking soda. Simply pour a box directly into the clogged drain, then pour in boiling water and wait for a while. The soda will eat away the dirt and eliminate the unpleasant smell.

In the case of severe clogs, you can use vinegar in addition to baking soda. Heat the vinegar and then pour it into the pipes and wait 10-15 minutes. During this time, characteristic bubbling and foam will appear. This is a completely natural phenomenon, which will subside after a few minutes.

Throw it in the drain. It will unclog the pipes in no time

There is yet another preparation that works even more effectively than baking soda and vinegar. It is aspirin. The acetylsalicylic acid it contains reacts chemically with hair, grease, or food scraps, completely dissolving them. How to unclog a drain with aspirin?

Throw two tablets into the drain, then pour about a litre (4 cups) of boiling water into it. Wait 15-20 minutes. After this time, the water should start to flow. This trick can be used for both the kitchen and bathroom drain.
