In the last 24 hours, the Ukrainian armed forces were engaged in over 130 combat encounters with Russian troops.

According to the DeepState project, the Russians captured three villages south of Pokrovsk. The city, which had approximately 60,000 residents before 2022, is critical for the Ukrainian army. Russian forces aim to encircle the city, highlighting the intensity of the fighting in this area.

The General Staff reported that around Pokrovsk, the enemy conducted 47 attacks. Russian losses in this area amounted to 300 soldiers, either killed or wounded, with four vehicles, a tank, and a mortar launcher destroyed and one vehicle severely damaged.

Drone attacks

On Thursday night into Friday, Russia sent 50 assault and reconnaissance drones to Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force shot down 33 of them, while 10 were electronically neutralized. Fragments of the falling drones injured a 13-year-old boy in the Kyiv Oblast and damaged buildings in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, and Odesa Oblasts.

One of the drones exited Ukrainian airspace, heading towards Romania. The Ministry of Defence in Bucharest confirmed the breach of Romanian airspace and located the drone remains in the Tulcea district. Two F-16 fighters scrambled in response, returning to base after two hours. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
