Although stores offer a wide range of detergents, homemade cleaning agents are gaining popularity. Many of them are based on ingredients that we often find in our kitchens.

How to clean a bathtub with a homemade method?

When it comes to cleaning the bathtub, start with the most important step - regular washing. The bathtub should be thoroughly cleaned at least once a week. This way, you eliminate residues from cosmetics, such as shampoo or conditioner.

One of the best products for cleaning the bathtub without using chemicals is baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda on areas where there are visible stains. Then, pour water over them to create a thick paste. Rub it into the stains and leave it for 15 minutes. After that, rinse everything with water.

Methods for thoroughly cleaning the bathtub

A highly effective cleaning agent is vinegar. Even our grandmothers used it as a staple in home hygiene. Using a toothbrush sprayed with vinegar, you can reach hard-to-access places and grout that require special attention.

Besides their cleaning properties, homemade remedies can also provide aromatherapeutic experiences. Adding a few drops of essential oil, such as lavender or lemon, to the vinegar and soda mixture will not only improve the room's smell but also introduce an element of relaxation. Mix a few drops of oil with vinegar to create a solution that you can safely use to clean the bathtub.

As a practical addition to home methods, it's beneficial to start by rinsing the bathtub with hot water. Raising the surface temperature expands the pores in the material, making it easier to remove dirt. After washing, it's also a good idea to leave the window open for a while to prevent mould formation due to moisture.
