On the night between Wednesday and Thursday, a tragic plane crash occurred near Washington. An American Airlines Bombardier CRJ-700 passenger plane from Wichita collided with a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter just before reaching the runway at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington.

CNN has obtained another video of the tragedy, depicting the speeding Black Hawk flying directly into the plane.

As a result of the collision, all individuals on board both aircraft lost their lives, including 64 passengers on the plane and three soldiers in the helicopter.

Trump: The helicopter was too high

An investigation is underway to determine all the circumstances of the crash. President Donald Trump asserts that the helicopter was flying too high.

"The Blackhawk helicopter was flying too high, by a lot. It was far above the 200 foot limit. That’s not really too complicated to understand, is it???" Trump wrote on his platform, Truth Social, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.

The U.S. President emphasized that he does not support reducing air traffic in the region, including military flights, as long as they are conducted in suitable areas and not at the same altitude as passenger planes. Trump stressed that while flight safety is a priority, it should not restrict air operations.
