The Trump administration does not intend to meet with Russian officials in Munich, as reported by CNN, citing its sources. Previously, the US president had announced such discussions during the Munich Security Conference.

CNN, based on three well-informed sources, reports that representatives of the US administration, including Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, do not plan to engage in talks with the Russians.

On Thursday, Trump announced twice that such a meeting would occur, claiming that "high-level people" would participate. The US president also mentioned inviting Ukrainian representatives.

No visas for Russians

Kyiv has also announced that it does not plan to meet with Moscow in Munich. The head of the Munich Security Conference, Christoph Heusgen, told Deutschlandfunk radio that no Russian officials received a German visa.
