The police reported that an inspection is underway to evaluate the accident's full impact, noting that the store has sustained substantial damage. They added that approximately 20 people were inside the vehicle when the accident occurred, with four individuals, including the driver, confirmed as injured.

"It's complete chaos here. It's surreal. The tram is standing across the entire Storgata with its front deep inside Eplehuset," one of the accident witnesses said in an interview with VG newspaper's portal.

As reported by Reuters, photos from the scene show a blue tram that crashed into the computer store with force. The damaged store is located on the ground floor of a four-storey building.

Emergency services and police arrived at the scene and secured the area. The police reported that residents of the damaged building were evacuated to check whether the building's structure had been compromised.
