Police spokesperson Roxeanne Vainuku stated that the deaths of the five are under investigation. "We don't believe there is a suspect at large," said Vainuku, as quoted by NBC News.

Investigators are examining the circumstances of the incident. Interviews with neighbours and analysis of surveillance footage from cameras in the area are ongoing. Meanwhile, the police are not providing any hypotheses regarding the incident.

No theories regarding the 17-year-old family member, the sole survivor, have been specified. "At this stage, we don't know whether he is a suspect or a victim," emphasized the police spokesperson.

The condition of the 17-year-old is too serious to interview him and determine what really happened. The investigation continues.

The family was found following the intervention of a relative. He was unable to contact the woman, the mother of the family. He asked the local police for intervention. Officers found the bodies.
