Bulgaria has been a popular destination for years. The coastline of Europe’s most affordable Riviera is filled with hotels. The country by the Black Sea, however, is not only about beaches and hotels but also landmarks and tourist attractions. To see them, one has to step out of their accommodation. When our reader did so, one thing surprised her.

Parking in Bulgaria

Walking around Sunny Beach, she noticed an intriguing and surprising practice of locals regarding reserving free parking spots.

It is surprising that Bulgarians were making such reservations in a tourist town in a public place accessible to everyone, but that wasn't what shocked her the most. Bulgarians were reserving spots using various items, such as several-litre water bottles.

Other parking spots were also reserved using plastic chairs, barrels, or buckets.

Vacation in Bulgaria

Tourists are drawn to the Black Sea by sunny weather, a rich hotel selection, and relatively attractive prices. Therefore, Bulgaria has rightly earned the nickname of the cheapest European riviera. A week-long all-inclusive hotel vacation can be enjoyed even in September starting from $520 CAD per person. The price, in addition to the hotel stay and full board, naturally includes the flight, transfer, and insurance.

On the other hand, those who like to plan vacations in advance can already book a week-long all-inclusive stay in Bulgaria at a price not exceeding $630 CAD per person.
