The world of TikTokers is developing dynamically, and the variety of opinions and content attracts the attention of many users. Sometimes, however, online confessions of celebrities provoke huge emotions and a wave of criticism, as was the case with Lucy Welcher, whose account has already garnered over 17 million likes.
Surprising confession from the TikToker. Internet users didn't hold back
Lucy is known for videos of her driving a car and sipping iced coffee. She decided to share her thoughts on work in one of her recordings. She stated that she is too beautiful to work her whole life. Although it was supposed to be funny, things quickly turned out unexpectedly.
"Does it look like I want to get up at 6 a.m. every (...) day for the next 60 years?" "No! I'm too pretty for that!" she said, sipping her coffee.
Lucy did not expect that her words would provoke such reactions. The video quickly went viral but in a negative way. Comments under the video were full of criticism, and users expressed their dissatisfaction explicitly.
"Maybe it's high time to grow up and stop behaving like a privileged princess expecting life to fall at your feet?" wrote one of the commenters.
TikToker under fire. This is how she reacted to negative comments
Although many people criticized her statement, some agreed with Lucy, stating that work can be overwhelming. Some defended her, explaining that it was an unsuccessful joke, but not everyone was convinced.
Lucy firmly rejected the accusations, emphasizing that her confession was a joke. Nevertheless, it was hard for her to endure the wave of criticism, which led to removing the video from TikTok. However, she still actively posts on her profile, no longer referring to the controversial entry.
One piece of evidence that she was joking could be the video showing how she puts on makeup on the way to work. Looking at her posts, one might guess that she currently works at a spa and even got a promotion—instead of folding towels, she now holds a desk position.
