This was a significant blow for Brad Pitt, as his daughter Shiloh, shortly after turning 18, filed papers to renounce her father's last name. We delve into the reasons behind her decision.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were once one of the most admired couples in Hollywood. They were often seen as a model, cohesive duo. Their relationship, marked by joint film projects and charitable activities, garnered media attention worldwide. Unfortunately, despite their perfect image, their relationship ended in a scandal that shocked their fans and sparked numerous speculations.

The divorce in 2016 was tumultuous, and their public disputes over child custody and allegations of misconduct made headlines, but this time in a less favourable light.

Brad Pitt's daughter renounces her father's last name

According to the "Daily Mail," Brad Pitt's 18-year-old daughter, Shiloh, filed for a name change. She had been waiting for four years to drop her father's surname. The decision is allegedly related to an altercation that occurred on a private jet. Reportedly, during the trip, the actor shouted insults at his wife and children, accusing them of "using him."

An informant from "Daily Mail" claims that Shiloh changed her name because she felt her rights were violated. This specifically pertains to the process of granting parental custody rights. The issue was resolved during six-month closed-door hearings. During that time, the court heard testimonies from experts who interviewed the children. Ultimately, Brad received the right to joint custody of the minors. The actress appealed for the children to testify, but Judge John Ouderkirk did not agree to her request. Jolie then demanded the judge's disqualification.

"Shiloh Jolie-Pitt hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, a source close to the matter told Fox News Digital. The decision to remove Pitt from her last name is connected to the alleged 'abuse history' and 'violation' of Shiloh's victim's rights, according to the insider," writes the Fox News.

"Daily Mail" also reports that the 18-year-old does not plan to take any other legal steps related to her father.
