Ingredients:
Yeast Dough
- 510 grams all-purpose flour,
- 1 packet instant dry yeast (7 grams),
- 70 grams sugar,
- 2 eggs,
- 100 milliliters milk,
- 100 milliliters water,
- 100 grams melted butter,
- half a teaspoon of sugar.
The filling:
- 510 grams strawberries,
- 1 tablespoon sugar,
- 1 teaspoon potato starch + 70 milliliters cold water,
- glaze (200 grams confectioners' sugar, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1-2 tablespoons hot water).
Preparation:
- Mix milk with water and egg.
- Combine sifted flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add the mixture with milk and knead a uniform dough.
- Finally, add melted butter and knead the dough again. Cover it with a cloth and let it rise warmly for 1 hour.
- Wash the strawberries and cut them into smaller pieces. Heat them in a pan with sugar. Cook for about 15 minutes.
- At the end, add the potato starch mixed with water to the strawberries. Bring to a boil, then set aside to cool.
- Knead the ready dough again and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Spread the prepared strawberry purée over the dough, then roll it up and cut it into 12 pieces, each about 2.5 centimetres thick.
- Grease a baking dish with oil or butter. Arrange the rolls in it, cover with a cloth and let rise for 30 minutes.
- After this time, place the buns in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 25 minutes.
