  • about 140 grams of smoked bacon,
  • 1.5 cups of beans,
  • soup greens (carrot, parsley, celery, leek),
  • 2–3 cloves of garlic,
  • a few potatoes,
  • spices: salt, pepper, marjoram, bay leaves, allspice.

Preparation:

  1. Soak the beans in a bowl of water the day before.
  2. Place the ribs in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Skim off the foam. Add the soaked beans and soup greens. Cook on low heat.
  3. When the beans are soft, add the potatoes and garlic.
  4. Dice the bacon, onion, and sausage. Render the bacon in a pan, add the onion, and sauté. Add the contents of the pan to the soup.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and other favourite spices. Cook until the soup thickens.
