An incredible opportunity arises for the San Marino national team to achieve historic success. Often regarded as the world's weakest team, they may advance from their Nations League group, thanks to an away draw against Gibraltar's team.

League D represents the lowest tier of the competition, where the weakest national teams in Europe face off. Before the start, San Marino was considered significantly weaker compared to Liechtenstein and Gibraltar.

The performance of the players from the small principality impressed fans worldwide. Coach Roberto Cevoli's team has played three matches in the tournament so far. Initially, they secured a 1-0 victory against Liechtenstein, followed by a 0-1 loss to Gibraltar.

Historic success for San Marino. Euphoria on social media

Yesterday, they achieved a result that opened the door to an incredible success. San Marino miraculously drew 1-1 with Gibraltar, scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. They now have four points in the competition, marking the best start in their history.

The goal for San Marino's team was met with tremendous euphoria on social media.

But there's more. Widely regarded as the worst national team in the world, San Marino is on the verge of advancing to League C of the Nations League. To secure such a spectacular achievement, the team from the small principality must defeat Liechtenstein.

A win would propel the "Titans" (the team's nickname) to the top of their League D group, earning them a promotion. The magnitude of the success is highlighted by the fact that San Marino has only won twice in international competitions thus far—both victories were against Liechtenstein.

The San Marino vs. Liechtenstein match will be held on Monday (November 18) at 2:45 PM Eastern Time.
