Many pieces of information provided by Russian media or authoritative representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.

"For us, this is a key element of potential agreements on the conflict in Ukraine and an element of removing the root causes of this conflict. And we will be seeking not only rock-steady legal guarantees, ruling out any Ukrainian membership in NATO, but we will also demand that the alliance itself embrace this policy" stated Grushko on Friday.

Trump wants urgent meetings: Russia's response

On Thursday, Donald Trump called for an urgent meeting with Vladimir Putin. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded to these statements. "The Kremlin does not comment on further remarks by US President Donald Trump regarding the desire for an 'immediate meeting' with Russian leader Vladimir Putin," he stated.

"There is nothing to add to what we have repeatedly stated," he added.

Peskov also addressed the issue on Thursday, noting that Moscow is "waiting for signals" from Washington, which, as he mentioned, have not yet arrived. "We carefully record all the nuances. We remain ready for dialogue, President Putin has repeatedly spoken about this - for equal dialogue, for mutually respectful dialogue," he emphasized on Thursday.

Moscow, however, does not believe in the readiness for talks on the Ukrainian side, as Peskov assured on Friday. "Zelensky cannot be ready to make a deal. It is more appropriate to use the word ‘settlement’ after all. In order to reach a settlement, it is necessary to negotiate. Zelensky has prohibited himself from negotiating by his own decree," he added.

At the same time, Peskov mentioned that Russia is ready for discussions on nuclear disarmament. "In the current situation, all nuclear capacities need to be taken into account. In particular, it’s impossible to hold a conversation without taking into consideration the nuclear capacities of France and the United Kingdom," added Putin's spokesman.
