Russia's latest offensive power: T‑90M tanks roll towards the front
The T-90M Proryw-3 tanks are the most powerful machines in Vladimir Putin's army. Latest reports reveal that a train fully loaded with these modern Russian tanks has departed from the manufacturing plants in Nizhny Tagil. They are en route to the front lines, where they're expected to bolster the offensive efforts to the west.

As confirmed by plant representatives, on Monday, May 6, a train carrying T-90M Proryw tanks left the Tank Plant in Nizhny Tagil, heading towards the Russian military.
While the number of tanks remains undisclosed, this shipment is part of a recent surge in military equipment following the dispatch of a new batch of T-72B3M tanks just a week prior.
The Nizhny Tagil personnel explained tireless efforts of the dedicated team at the Nizhny Tagil plant ensure consistent deliveries of advanced military technology to our forces, adherence to production schedules, and high-quality standards for defense orders.
This is the largest shipment of the Kremlin's armoured units in the last two months. Experts suggest this indicates preparations for another offensive at the front, with a significant accumulation of new equipment poised for combat directly from the Russian manufacturing plants.
According to the Bulgarian Military portal, the arrival of these machines signifies that Russia continues to produce its most advanced designs. However, whether the replenished losses are completely new units or include refurbished models remains uncertain.
Modern Russian tanks are heading to the front
The T-90M Proryw-3, introduced into the Russian armed forces in 2020, epitomizes the latest advancements in tank technology. The "The Military Balance 2022" report noted that, by the end of 2021, Russia possessed only 67 of these machines. They represent a comprehensive modernization of the T-90A tanks, themselves substantial upgrades of the T-72B.
According to the manufacturer, these tanks outperform older models against kinetic penetrators APFSDS-T and are adept at neutralizing shaped charge projectiles with tandem warheads. Despite their advanced design, Ukrainians have repeatedly demonstrated the ability to destroy these tanks effectively.
In addition to its armaments, which include machine guns of calibre 7.62 mm and 0.50 inch, the T-90M Proryw's engine, with an output of around 1341 hp, propels the tank to top speeds of approximately 65 km/h. Yet, this speed is insufficient to evade drones on the battlefield, which have increasingly become a significant threat to Russian armour.
