Rosemary rinse: A natural remedy for winter hair woes

Each of us dreams of having healthy, shiny, and thick hair. Unfortunately, the fall-winter season isn't kind to our hairstyles, often leading to hair loss or weakened strands. You don't have to spend a fortune on cosmetics to strengthen them.

Rosemary is a plant known for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. It's used in various fields such as cooking, pharmacy, and cosmetology. While it's most commonly recognized as a culinary ingredient and component in herbal remedies, not many people know that rosemary's properties can benefit hair and scalp care.

Properties of rosemary

Rosemary infusion can help address hair loss. It effectively stimulates circulation, encouraging hair follicles to grow. Additionally, it tackles dandruff and manages excessive hair oiliness. Rosemary strengthens and improves hair's condition, preventing brittleness. It also adds shine and smooths the hair, making it look healthy.

Recipe for homemade rosemary rinse

We found the rosemary trick on TikTok. "This homemade elixir is a secret I discovered thanks to my grandmother," reads the post. You only need water and rosemary. How do you make it? Place a few rosemary sprigs in a pot and pour about 1 litre of water.

"Boil the rosemary for 30 minutes, and the water that condenses on the lid will be your ally in hair care," explains the user.

The resulting mixture should be strained into a bottle and is best used right after a shower. You'll notice the effects quickly.
