Coffee is a popular drink, so it's no wonder that many more coffee machines are sold every year. Recently, devices using coffee capsules have become particularly popular. However, experts warn against this tendency.

Especially in large cities, a noticeable trend of new coffee shops has emerged over the past several years. Poles have embraced this beverage, and few can imagine their daily routine without it. This trend is so strong that residents of the country by the Vistula River are investing in coffee machines each year.

In this category, coffee machines using unique capsules are unparalleled. Their primary advantage is primarily the low cost and ease of daily use. However, these machines have a significantly worse composition and quality of coffee.

As Magdalena Kartasińska points out in an interview in the capsules, besides the coffee itself, we find many other, less desirable substances. Among them, sugar or other flavour additives will harm our health.

Coffee capsules. Why aren’t they healthy?

Consuming this type of coffee, even unconsciously, allows us to take in unplanned calories. This is significant because while normal sugar-free coffee can help with a diet, this type poses a significant threat to appropriate calorie intake.

However, this is not the only problem with consuming coffee made from capsules. They are primarily made of plastic, or in some cases, aluminum, which gets into the beverage. These may contain bisphenol A, which can cause potential complications in the endocrine and nervous systems.
