The plane was scheduled to land at Mzuzu International Airport in northern Malawi but disappeared from radar during the flight.

In a statement released by the President’s office regarding the disappearance, it was announced that President Lazarus Chakwera had cancelled his planned flight to the Bahamas.
Currently, the search and rescue operation is ongoing. So far, the aircraft has not been found. According to some unofficial sources, the plane may have made an emergency landing in a forest.
