Perfect your poultry: How to make an irresistible satay sauce
Satay sauce for chicken is a delightful choice for anyone who appreciates oriental flavours. This sauce is irresistible with nutty notes, the saltiness of the additives, and sour accents, all blending harmoniously. Initially, you may want to dip pieces of chicken into it, but soon enough, you'll pour it over the entire dish.
The main ingredient is, of course, peanut butter. While peanut butter, whether creamy or crunchy, is often associated with sweet dishes, satay sauce traditionally served with chicken skewers pairs perfectly with tangy citrus and bold spices.
How to choose good peanut butter?
Peanut butter has a reputation for being quite caloric and fatty due to its ingredients and texture. However, when consumed in moderation, it can positively impact health and is recommended as part of a balanced diet. Researchers have found that the right portion of peanut butter can even aid in weight loss. It's packed with healthy fats, fibre, and protein. Selecting a quality product is essential to fully reap the benefits of blended peanuts. The best peanut butter contains 100% peanuts. Unfortunately, some products contain less than 70%. It's advisable to avoid unnecessary additives like hydrogenated fats, salt, or sugar. In this case, the shorter the ingredients list on the label, the better.
