The actor, known for his role as Ant-Man and currently in the Irish capital filming a new movie, was captured on Instagram by local musicians. Hermitage Green shared a video with their 30,000 followers, showcasing their encounter with Rudd.

In the footage, Paul Rudd, dressed in grey sweatpants, a hoodie, and a brown jacket, sips a small glass of poitín —a traditional Irish drink. The actor raises a toast with vocalist and guitarist Dan Murphy, saying "sláinte" and clinking glasses with the band members. In the next scene, the musicians perform the traditional Scottish farewell song, "The Parting Glass," which Rudd listens intently to among other patrons. At the end, the actor smiles and sips his drink.

It turned out that Rudd liked the band so much that he took a T-shirt with their logo but forgot to pay 20 Canadian dollars. Hermitage Green jokingly commented in their post description:

"We finished sound check in the Olympia yesterday and slipped out for a quiet pint of Guinness and a poitín chaser. If anyone sees Paul Rudd walking around Dublin wearing a Hermitage Green tshirt go up and say hello to him, he’s a lovely fella. And Paul if you’re reading this - you forgot to give us the 15 euro for it."

The Daily Mail reports that Paul Rudd is in Dublin due to filming a new musical comedy, "Power Ballad," which also stars Nick Jonas. The film is directed by John Carney, known for his musical comedies "Once" and "Sing Street." The story is about a wedding singer (Rudd) and a real rock star (Jonas), between whom a certain song stands.
