North Korea's military aid: A game changer for Russia in Ukraine
North Korea may deploy as many as 100,000 troops to aid Russia’s war on Ukraine if the alliance between Pyongyang and Moscow continues to deepen, Bloomberg reports.

According to Bloomberg's sources, if this occurs, the military will most likely be transferred in groups with troop rotation over time, rather than in a single deployment.
According to Bloomberg, several allies will raise the issue of North Korea's cooperation with Russia this week at the G-20 summit in Brazil, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during a meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
German officials say Scholz will pressure the Chinese leader to use his influence in Russia and North Korea to prevent a further escalation of the war.
Powerful weapons for Russia
North Korea is supplying Russia with long-range artillery systems, which are being sent to the Kursk region – wrote the British newspaper "Financial Times" on Saturday, citing information from Ukrainian intelligence.
This involves about 50 self-propelled M1989 howitzers of 17-centimetre calibre and 20 modernized multiple-launch rocket systems based on the Soviet BM-27 "Uragan" design, which can launch both standard and guided rockets.
Ukrainian intelligence confirmed the presence of the equipment when photos of North Korean howitzers reportedly heading to Russia circulated on social media recently.
"North Korea has already played a critical role in providing millions of rounds of artillery ammunition for the Russian military in 2023," reminded the "FT." In return, Moscow has provided Pyongyang with, among other things, military technologies for the development of North Korean missile programs – claims a high-ranking Ukrainian official, quoted by the newspaper.
