According to the agency, Ukraine is set to conduct its first long-range attacks in the coming days using ATACMS missiles, which have a range of about 300 kilometres.

The U.S. decision was reportedly influenced by Russia's deployment of North Korean ground troops on the front lines, Reuters noted.

The White House declined to comment on the matter, the agency added.

President Biden has authorized Ukrainian forces to deploy ATACMS tactical missile systems. This decision follows reports of North Korean soldiers joining Russian combat operations, American media report.
