Melania Trump broke a decades-old tradition and did not support her husband during Thursday's debate, unlike Jill Biden, who was a rock for the president. The Republican candidate's team remains silent about the former first lady's involvement.

On Thursday, a presidential debate took place in Atlanta, Georgia. As usual, Joe Biden could count on his wife's support, who was his rock. That day, the First Lady dazzled in a blue outfit consisting of a long blazer, ankle-length pants, and a satin blouse. The 73-year-old complemented her look with blue stilettos, gold brooches, and a silver jewelry set.

After the speeches, Jill went on stage to hug and kiss her husband. The president did not perform well during the debate, evidenced by his difficulty articulating his thoughts.

On the other hand, Melania Trump broke a decades-old tradition by not accompanying her husband during the debate. The Republican candidate had to bask in his "victory" alone. It is worth noting that the former first lady's behaviour was unprecedented. Until now, Donald's beloved has supported him in all the debates during the 2016 and 2020 election campaigns.

Families started attending the debates regularly in 1976 and it would be pretty shocking for the wife of a candidate to break that tradition, said presidential historian Dr. Lindsay Chervinsky, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

According to the tabloid's findings, even if Trump wins the election, Melania will not live permanently in the White House. The Republican candidate's wife reportedly plans to travel between Washington, Palm Beach, and New York, where her 18-year-old son is starting his studies.
