Luke Goodwin has passed away. The 35-year-old YouTuber documented his fight against cancer on the channel "I Will Not Be Defeated." His beloved, Beckey confirmed the sad news of the 35-year-old's death. As reported by "The Sun," after the shocking diagnosis, doctors gave him just a year to live, and in the past months, he underwent chemotherapy. Luke passed away in his own home, surrounded by his closest loved ones. In a video posted in mid-July, the YouTuber assured that he was still fighting the disease.
Although the cancer made its presence known, Luke did not lose his positive spirit and, as much as possible, provided updates online about his current condition. His wife spoke about what they had to face in an interview with GrimsbyLive. She did not hide that the past few months were challenging.
We were in despair because we just didn't know what to do. It had an effect on Luke's wellbeing mentally - he had a wife, children, parents, family and friends - and initially he was all over the place until he decided one day, 'I will not be defeated'. He said that at the time, and from that day on he put his mind to it and fought. He's our warrior and our hero. It's been tough, chemotherapy took its toll on his health, but it gave us more time with Luke - his wife confessed.
The 35-year-old's funeral is scheduled for next Friday.
