The anonymous driver in the white suit is a cult figure for many. Over the years, various drivers have taken on this role in the Top Gear series, but who was the last one?

The final episode of "The Grand Tour" was released on Amazon on September 13, 2024. One of the presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, organized a special screening for this occasion at his pub in Oxfordshire.

The event included a Q&A session during which Clarkson was particularly forthcoming. Not only did he compare modern cars to excrement, but he also revealed a long-held secret from his television past, disclosing who the last Stig in "Top Gear" was.

The cult character of the anonymous racecar driver has always sparked considerable curiosity. Until now, we knew that the first Stig (back when he wore a black suit) was Perry McCarthy, who was fired from the show in 2003 after revealing his identity.

He was replaced by Ben Collins, who parted ways with the BBC after releasing his autobiography in 2010. In 2011, Collins was succeeded by a mysterious driver who worked with the program until the last seasons, which were filmed without Clarkson, Hammond, and May. Clarkson has now revealed his identity.

According to the presenter, the last Stig was Phil Keen - a British racecar driver from Berkshire, England, who currently races a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the British GT Championship and a Ferrari 296 GT3 in the European Le Mans Series. Surprised?
