Lamborghini is not planning to leave an empty spot in its lineup following the Huracán. Its successor is set to be revealed in 2024, and more information about its features is gradually coming to light.

The Lamborghini Huracán remained popular for a decade and achieved excellent sales. By 2024, it will be replaced by a limited edition series of 10 units named the STJ.

Fans of the renowned Italian brand are eagerly awaiting the launch of the next model and any new details. Recently, there has been a steady flow of information, leaving fewer mysteries about the vehicle scheduled for a global reveal in August 2024.

One of the most noteworthy updates will be to the engine. The Huracán's naturally aspirated V10 engine, also used in the now-discontinued Audi R8, will be phased out. It has been confirmed that the upcoming Lamborghini model will feature a hybrid engine. Through a discussion with Federico Foschini, the sales and marketing manager at the Sant'Agata Bolognese headquarters, "Autocar" discovered further specifics.

He stated that the new model will be powered by a plug-in hybrid system with a V8 engine. This setup is reported to be similar, if not identical, to the one found in the Lamborghini Urus SE. According to Foschini, opting for a hybrid V8 offers significant advantages over sticking solely with a traditional combustion engine.

The naming of the new model also holds clues, with recent registrations at the European Union Intellectual Property Office offering significant hints. According to the Chilean newspaper "La Tercera," in early April 2024, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. secured the name "Temerario" and the potential model's logo.

Lamborghini traditionally names its automobiles after Spanish bulls, and it appears this instance is no exception. "La Tercera" reports that in 2023, a bull named Temerario was spared by a bullfighter during an event in San Marcos, Mexico. It seems everything aligns for Temerario, which translates to "reckless" or "careless," to be the namesake of the new Lamborghini vehicle.
