  • Early on Wednesday morning, Kyiv was attacked by Russia with ballistic missiles. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out in four districts of the city. At least one person has died.
  • Chris LaCivita, advisor to Donald Trump during his last election campaign, will lead the campaign of the opposition Democratic Party ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for May in Albania – reported "The Albanian Times" portal. "We are here today because we want to elect a prime minister who is a true friend of the United States, who will work successfully with President Trump and with the United States," LaCivita said.
  • A court in Massachusetts issued a temporary ban on cuts to biomedical research funding. It applies in 22 Democratic states that jointly sued the Trump administration regarding changes in funding medical and research institutions – reported "The Washington Post" on Tuesday. The complaint concerned Friday's decision by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), changing the grant structure for universities and research institutions, which is expected to save $4 (CAD 5.7) billion annually.
  • The Australian mining company Energy Transition Minerals (ETM) has appealed to the Greenland authorities for a liberalization of uranium mining regulations – reported Reuters on Tuesday. The company hopes that the new local government will revoke the existing restrictions.
  • Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa and his main rival Luisa Gonzalez will face off in the second round of elections in April – according to data from the National Electoral Council (CNE), published on Tuesday after counting 97 percent of the votes cast in Sunday's first round.
