Many reports from Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.

The Kazan airport has suspended arrivals and departures of airplanes following the Ukrainian drone attack on the city. This information was conveyed by the Russian aviation authority, Rosaviatsiya, as cited by Reuters. Temporary restrictions were also introduced at the Izhevsk airport.

Drone attack on Kazan

Russian news agencies reported on a drone attack on a residential complex in Kazan, located about 800 kilometres east of Moscow. The TASS agency claims that there were eight registered drone attacks, including six on residential buildings, Reuters reported.

Local authorities, quoted by the agencies, have not yet released information on possible casualties from the attack. Materials have appeared on Telegram showing an aerial object striking a high-rise building, which caused a fire.

Rosaviatsiya added that it is imposing temporary restrictions at the Izhevsk airport, a smaller city to the northeast of Kazan.

Some drones hit residential buildings, one of which is a 32-storey luxury building, reports "Ukrainian Pravda."
