The Japanese tend to stick together, with the latest example being the recent alliance formed by Toyota, Suzuki, Mazda, and Subaru. This collaboration focuses on the joint development of combustion engines. Other brands have similar plans but with a focus on electrification.

According to Reuters, Mitsubishi is on track to reach an agreement with Honda and Nissan in electric vehicle components, software, and artificial intelligence. Although the brand has not yet confirmed these revelations, the market reacted positively to the announcements, with Mitsubishi's shares showing an apparent increase.

Cooperation with Nissan should not come as a surprise, as Nissan holds a 34% stake in Mitsubishi, which is part of the Renault-Nissan alliance. Expanding collaboration to include Honda could benefit all involved parties.

However, we have to wait for the details. Official statements may appear in the coming days.
