Orban in India
According to reports, Orban visited the tourist state of Kerala, accompanied by businessman Krishnachumar, who manages an Ayurvedic healing centre in Hungary. The Prime Minister reportedly explored local attractions such as the Mattancherry Palace and the Santa Cruz Basilica.
Indian media noted that Orban was travelling in a convoy of tuk-tuks that underwent strict checks. Driver Hussain Siddiqui, who had the opportunity to transport the Prime Minister, recounted that he amused Orban by suggesting he "get in the Ferrari," as reported by local media.
Orban stayed at the Fragrant Nature Hotel, a five-star establishment mentioned by Hungarian MEP Ákos Hadházy. The cost of a night's stay at the hotel starts at approximately CAD $370 (editor's note). Hadházy questioned who covers the expenses of the bodyguard's accommodations and the reasons for the Prime Minister's presence in a luxury hotel amidst a wartime crisis.
