Cranberry jam
Homemade cranberry jam is a delicious snack and a wonderful, handmade gift for loved ones. It's not only tasty but also healthy and remarkably simple to prepare.
Cranberries are rich in vitamin C, which boosts immunity, and their tart-sweet taste pairs excellently with many dishes. A jar of homemade jam makes an original and tasty gift for any occasion. Just decorate it with a ribbon and give it to a loved one.
Ingredients:
- Approximately 450 grams of fresh cranberries,
- Approximately 450 grams of sugar.
Preparation:
Step 1. Place fresh cranberries in a pot and cover with sugar. Heat the mixture for 30 minutes, until it starts to break down. Stir the contents of the pot occasionally. You can adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
Step 2. Put the finished cranberry jam into jars, leaving about 1.3 centimetres of free space, and seal tightly. You don't need to additionally pasteurize the cranberry jam if the lid doesn't bounce back. Otherwise, pasteurize it again.
How to do it? Line the bottom of a pot with a clean cloth. Put in the jars (they shouldn't touch each other) and pour in water, reaching about 2/3 of the height. Bring the water to a boil, reduce the heat, and pasteurize for 30-40 minutes.
