Halle Bailey and DDG navigate co‑parenting challenges online
Halle Bailey admitted that she might have reacted too emotionally to her son Halo's appearance on Kai Cenat's livestream. The actress and singer, known for her role in "The Little Mermaid," was surprised when she learned that her ex, DDG, had taken their son on the stream without her knowledge.
Halle Bailey decided to clarify her earlier reaction to the appearance of her 11-month-old son, Halo, on Kai Cenat's livestream. Initially, she expressed her dismay on platform X, stating that, as a mother, she felt upset not having been informed about this appearance.

However, a few hours later, after temporarily disabling her social media accounts, she returned to ease the situation and admitted that she might have reacted too impulsively:
"Yesterday maybe i did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here. I know that Halo is always safe with his dad. I just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing. Thank u kai for the gifts for Halo," Bailey wrote. In her message.
Understanding despite the breakup
This situation occurred just over a month after DDG announced that, after much deliberation, he and Halle had decided to end their relationship. "Dear friends and supporters, after much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we shared," wrote the rapper and YouTuber. The couple, who announced the birth of their first child in July, had recently been openly talking about their love. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Bailey revealed that her relationship with DDG was her "first deep, true love."
While Bailey was out of town, she learned about Halo's appearance on the stream through viewers' reports, which initially caused her distress. "Just so you know I am out of town and I don't approve of my baby being on a stream tonight. I wasn't told or notified and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people," she wrote in one of her first posts. "I am his mother and protector, and [I am] saddened that I wasn't notified, especially when I am out of town," she added.
DDG defends Halle
DDG, who previously faced criticism online following their breakup, decided to defend Bailey publicly. Commenting on the speculation that he might have "tied Halle down with a child," the rapper emphasized that he is committed to supporting and providing peace for his former partner. "One thing I don't like what people do, I don't like when people hate on Halle," he appealed. He also added that after the child's birth, Halle might be dealing with emotional difficulties that he doesn't fully understand but wants to respect.
Meanwhile, DDG also shared pictures of Halo's gifts from Kai Cenat, emphasizing that he and his son are grateful to the streamer. "W gifts 🖤 me & halo appreciate it bro," he wrote in a post on X.
The whole situation highlights the importance of mutual communication and trust when parents share custody of a child after separating. Halle Bailey, admitting to possibly overreacting in her response, shows she is ready for dialogue and reflection. Co-parenting a child after the end of a relationship requires understanding and openness from both parents, and DDG's response in defence of Bailey suggests that both are willing to cooperate in providing a stable environment for their son.
