Ghosn's legal tides: Yacht returned amidst ongoing scandal

Carlos Ghosn led Nissan for many years. He left, or rather disappeared, amid a major scandal involving serious allegations of defrauding multi-million dollar sums.
Fearing the harsh Japanese prison system, Ghosn fled from Hokkaido, hidden in... a double bass case. The entire operation was meticulously planned and organized with the help of professional services. With their support, Ghosn managed to escape to Lebanon, where he has been avoiding accountability for years.
Legal proceedings in his case are still ongoing, bringing more resolutions. The latest verdict concerns, among other things, tangible assets purchased by Ghosn using Nissan's corporate funds.
According to the court, the former brand chief used shell companies to siphon millions from the company and then invested them in his own assets. One of these assets is the yacht Custom Line Navetta 37, which now, by court order, must be returned to Nissan.
This is how the Japanese company attempts to recover at least a portion of the embezzled funds. However, the battle is challenging and has been ongoing for years. The Japanese also, of course, want the former chief punished for the crimes he is alleged to have committed. Considering that Ghosn remains elusive, this certainly won't be easy.
