Gerrard's future uncertain as Al‑Ettifaq tenure falters
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is facing the prospect of being fired from the Saudi club Al-Ettifaq after just 16 months. According to "The Sun," this could mean the end of his luxurious life in Bahrain, where he lives with his family.
Steven Gerrard, one of the highest-paid soccer managers in the world, earns an impressive CAD 25.5 million a year at Al-Ettifaq. This salary allows him, his wife, Alex, and their children to lead an exclusive life in the Middle East.
Instead of living in conservative Saudi Arabia, the Gerrard family settled in the more Westernized Bahrain. They rent a residence for CAD 17,000 a month in the exclusive Hamala Village neighbourhood. The property includes six spacious bedrooms, a pool, a tennis court, and a game room.
Alex Gerrard enjoys the attractions of Bahrain's capital, Manama, where she visits luxury boutiques in the Bahrain World Trade Center. Among her favourite brands are Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Versace. She also frequents The Avenues shopping mall, which offers both exclusive and popular brands.
The three youngest Gerrard children attend the most prestigious English-speaking school in Bahrain, where the tuition is CAD 18,500 a year. The family also enjoys numerous amenities, such as exclusive fitness clubs at the Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons hotels, where Steven has free access as part of his contract.
The Gerrards happily spend time at the exclusive Bahrain Rugby Club, a popular meeting place among British expats to watch Premier League games. The couple was also seen at the Cut restaurant in the Four Seasons hotel, where chef Wolfgang Puck serves steaks for up to CAD 340.
End of luxuries for the legend's family?
The luxurious life of the Gerrard family may soon end if Steven is fired from Al-Ettifaq. As reported by The Sun, pressure from fans and experts is growing after the unexpected exit from the King's Cup.
