Peskov replies: "Same as Putin."
After this answer, the audience applauds.
Russia comments on the election results in the USA
"Let's not forget that we are talking about, the unfriendly country that is both directly and indirectly involved in a war against our state," Peskov stated, commenting on the unofficial results of the presidential elections in the USA. He was quoted by the independent Russian portal Meduza.
Asked whether the lack of congratulations would worsen relations with the USA, the Kremlin spokesperson assessed that further deterioration is practically impossible because relations are at their "lowest point in history."
Peskov also referred to Trump's pre-election promises that after winning, he would lead to the end of the war in Ukraine. In his opinion, "We have repeatedly said that the United States can help end the conflict in Ukraine," but it cannot be done "overnight." He also stated that the US is "intentionally adding fuel to the fire" with the deliveries of the weapons.
