Eva Mendes reveals she's open to acting under Gosling's direction
She last worked on a film set ten years ago. And even "worked" might be too strong for one brief episode. Did she ruin her career? Not exactly. She shares whom she would return to acting for.

Eva Mendes made her debut on the small screen in an episode of "ER", but the true start of her acting career was her appearance in "Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror". Her biggest hits include "2 Fast 2 Furious" and "Hitch," where she starred alongside Will Smith. Her last film was the 2014 thriller "Lost River" with Saoirse Ronan and Matt Smith, where she made a brief appearance.
It was thanks to work that she met her partner (or perhaps husband?) Ryan Gosling, with whom she has two daughters. They starred together in "The Place Beyond the Pines". However, Mendes insists it wasn't their first meeting; the magic just happened there, on the set.
Eva Mendes is 50 years old and it's somewhat difficult to call her a cinema icon. Her return would probably not be as sensational as Demi Moore's new roles. However, while being a guest on the morning TV show "Good Morning America," she was asked about returning to film.
"I just worked with Ryan Gosling. He's, like, the best," she stated about ending her career, acknowledging its peak. She values him so much as a filmmaker (his directorial debut was considered a flop by critics) that she told the Sunday Times she would return to acting if he directed.
In the same interview, she also openly admitted, "I was never in love with acting," and very honestly added, "I wasn't a great actress."
Do you agree?
