On the night of September 15 to 16 (Eastern Time) in Los Angeles, the 76th Emmy Awards ceremony took place. Eugene Levy and Dan Levy hosted the event. The Emmy Awards are considered one of the most prestigious honours in the television industry. Who were the winners?

The awarded series included "Shogun" (Best Drama Series), "Hacks" (Best Comedy Series), and "Reindeer" (Best Limited Series or Anthology). Anna Sawai ("Shogun") and Hiroyuki Sanada ("Shogun") won the awards for Best Actor and Actress in a Drama Series. Jean Smart ("Hacks") and Jeremy Allen White ("The Bear") won the awards for Best Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series.

Naomi Watts was among the nominees for Best Lead Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology, or TV Movie for her role as Babe Paley in Feud: Capote vs. The Swans. Jodie Foster (True Detective: Night Country") won the award, but Naomi Watts won the fashion accolade.

The actress chose an evening gown in old Hollywood style for the occasion. She opted for an emerald green shade that beautifully complemented her delicate features and blonde hair.

The satin finish of the dress from the Balenciaga collection also deserves attention. The green maxi dress shone in the flash of the photographers' cameras. The strapless design highlighted the neckline, and the train was the "cherry on top." Naomi Watts chose an elegant bob. She didn't go overboard with makeup and jewellery, proving that sometimes less is more.

Emmy 2024: Best looks from the red carpet

How did other stars present themselves? Jennifer Aniston's outfit is our favourite. The actress appeared in a shimmering Oscar de la Renta gown. She joined the trend for see-throughs, but there was no vulgarity involved. She looked tasteful and elegant.

Selena Gomez stepped out in a black gown from Ralph Lauren's collection. The halter neckline adorned with crystals stole all the attention.

Meryl Streep chose a light pink suit. This three-piece set is perfect for a grand event, especially for mature women.

Rita Ora also chose a powder pink shade. She wore a strapless maxi, but the showstopper was the sleeves with feathers, which created a sort of train. The effect was spectacular! Eiza Gonzalez, the star of the series The Three-Body Problem, chose an almost identical dress. The neckline was the only difference.

Elizabeth Debicki also graced the red carpet and won an award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for "The Crown." She opted for a simple black maxi dress with straps, which was completed with subtle jewellery.
