Vivian Jenna Wilson, who changed her name and gender in 2022, decided to give her first interview, in which she talked about her complicated relationship with her father, Elon Musk. In a conversation with NBC News, Vivian emphasized that her father was "uncaring" and "narcissistic," and their contact was minimal.

Earlier, Vivian responded to Musk's controversial statements about the "death of his son" and the "mind virus." In one of his posts on X, Musk suggested that the "mind virus" had influenced Vivian's decision to transition. Vivian firmly denied these claims, writing:

A difficult childhood and lack of support from her father

Vivian also described her childhood, which she said was filled with pressure from her father to be more masculine. "I was in fourth grade. We went on this road trip that I didn’t know was actually just an advertisement for one of the cars — I don’t remember which one — and he was constantly yelling at me viciously because my voice was too high. It was cruel," she recalled. Vivian added that Musk never supported her transition and initially opposed her treatment, which required the consent of both parents.

In an interview with Jordan Peterson, a conservative commentator, Musk stated that he was "deceived" regarding his consent for Vivian's treatment: "I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys," said Musk, using his daughter's dead name. Vivian refuted these claims, saying Musk knew precisely what he was signing. "He read them at least twice, once with me and then again on his own, before he signed them," she emphasized.

Vivian plans to live on her own terms

Vivian, now a college student, noted that despite the complex relationship with her father, she intends to continue living life on her own terms. I am 20 years old. I am not a child. My life should be defined by my own choices," she stressed. Vivian also expressed hope that her story would help other transgender people in their fight for acceptance and understanding.

In her interview, Vivian Jenna Wilson openly criticized her father and his approach to transgender issues, shedding new light on Elon Musk's family relationships. It also shows that living in an absurdly wealthy family doesn't necessarily mean a bed of roses. Her words are an essential voice in the debate about transgender rights and demonstrate the importance of support and acceptance from loved ones.
