Recipe for Japanese-style fish
Ingredients:
- 600 grams of pollock fillets (or another white fish),
- 3 halves of pickled bell peppers,
- 3 pickled cucumbers,
- 3 large onions,
- oil for frying.
For the pancake batter:
- 1 egg,
- 125 millilitres of water,
- 125 millilitres of flour,
- salt, pepper.
For the marinade:
- 4 tablespoons of tomato paste,
- 125 millilitres of water,
- 2 tablespoons of oil,
- 4 tablespoons of distilled vinegar,
- 3 tablespoons of sugar,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- ½ teaspoon of sweet paprika.
Preparation:
- Cut the fillets into approximately 5 cm portions.
- Prepare the pancake batter by mixing all ingredients.
- Heat oil in a pan. Coat each piece of fish in the batter and fry on both sides until golden brown.
- Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
- Slice the onion into feathers and the bell pepper and cucumbers into strips.
- Add the onions to the pan and sauté. Then add the bell peppers and cucumbers. Pour the prepared marinade over everything and bring to a boil.
